Half-day private introduction to Florence
This tour has been designed as the ideal introduction to Florence, an overview of the history, art, architecture and people who made Florence the heart of the Renaissance.
This three hour private walking tour with an expert guide will cover some of the major sights of the historic centre of Florence. You will see the river Arno and the Ponte Vecchio bridge, visit the piazza Duomo where you will see the Cathedral, the Baptistery and Giotto's bell tower, learn to spot Medieval tower houses and Renaissance palaces, slip into a church to see fresco paintings and hear the stories behind the statues of the Piazza della Signoria.
As a private tour the itinerary can be tailored to include a particular place of interest, just let us know at the time of booking. If you would like to visit the Accademia Gallery with your guide and see Michelangelo's original statue of David, we will arrange priority tickets for you to minimise waiting in line. (Tickets to the Accademia are not included in the tour price and are paid on site).
Please note that your guide will not be able to accompany you inside the Cathedral during this tour as you would lose too much time waiting in line (priority entry is not available).
The three hour private tour is priced from £235. If you choose to include a visit inside a church or museum, the entry fee is not included in the tour price and is payable at the time of entry.
